What is Nine Chronicles?

Nine Chronicles is an Idle MMORPG. Players get to choose from four classes of characters (with Warrior being the only class available at this stage of the game’s development). Gameplay is simple. You equip your character with weapons and armor, provide them with consumable food that they can use in a bind, and you set them off on adventures. As they go on adventures, you have no control over your character, letting you leave the game and come back to it later on (hence idle). It is also an MMORPG because it is composed of thousands of players at the same time, and it features RPG progression. However, it is unlike the traditional MMORPG experience where you get to go on raids, like in the critically-acclaimed Final Fantasy XIV.

How do people earn money from Nine Chronicles?

Following the play-to-earn model, players of Nine Chronicles can earn the cryptocurrency Nine Chronicles Gold (NCG) from playing the game. NCG can then be converted to Etherium, a more mainstream crypto coin, which in turn can be liquidated to a traditional currency like USD.

Players earn NCG through the completion of quests, through the sale of items earn in-game, and through participation in real-world and digital events. Right now, developers Planetarium offer rewards to new Nine Chronicles players for joining their Discord channel, inviting friends to play the game, or by tweeting about it. WNCG currently has a value of $0.96, peaking at around $6 when the crypto coin launched in August 2021.

Is Nine Chronicles Reliable?

Nine Chronicles is backed by various industry giants, which includes, at the helm, Ubisoft. Developers Planetarium was part of Ubisoft’s Entrepreneurs Lab accelerator program, where Ubisoft helps start-up studios by providing guidance, advice, and studio space. When Nine Chronicles launched, Ubisoft completely backed the developers by signing an advisory partnership with Planetarium.
