Crypto Raiders is a pixel dungeon crawler game, RPG, & ecosystem with gamified DeFi elements utilizing tokens & NFTs. The game is built on the Polygon Network. In Crypto Raiders, players use NFT characters to loot dungeons, defeat bosses, and earn tokens.
The game essentially allows to:
- Raid dungeons to increase character power (EXP/Equipment)
- Increase character power with EXP & Equipment
- Complete quests to earn crafting materials
- Own Mobs in dungeons to steal players currency/items
- Mint New Raiders
The gameplay itself essentially consists of a simulation of the character fighting enemies in the metaverse.
How To Start Playing Crypto Raiders
The first step is to acquire a so-called Raider. Raiders can be purchased on OpenSea with ETH. The cheapest ones currently start at about 0.1 ETH (around 300 USD). Additionally, Raider recruitment events will continue to increase character supply over time, to create a low-cost entry point for anyone to get involved.
Each Raider comes with varying attributes and characteristics that affect its ability and therefore also the price. Also, each Raider has a race and a generation as well as a level (one to seven). Finally, each Raider has the gear. The inventory of a Raider’s gear can be found in the description section of the Raider on OpenSea. Gear is important for fighting in dungeons. You can either buy an equipped Raider or earn gear through raids.

After adding a Raider to the collection, a user must ensure they add the Polygon Mainnet to their Metamask for interoperability with the game. To add the Polygon Network to Metamask, users can follow this guide from the developers at Polygon. Once the Polygon Network is added and enabled, users can connect their wallet to the Crypto Raiders site to get started. Gameplay
Players can earn AURUM by completing dungeons and quests. The difficulty of the tasks will influence the amount of AURUM tokens rewarded. However, higher-level dungeons also allow users to score better in-game gear and experience. Additionally, when players use a certain NFT character, they will earn a bonus percentage.
What’s interesting about Crypto Raiders is that it has a permadeath feature — meaning that if your character dies in the game, it’s permanent.
DeFi Enabled Gaming
After running through weekly raids, one might be curious about what else Crypto Raiders has to offer. On the website, you can review your characters as well as your on-chain economy assets. Also, it is possible to recruit new characters and stake the $RAIDER token.
In addition, players can own NFT characters called MOBS. MOBS are the player-owned enemies found in every Crypto Raiders dungeon. If your MOB defeats a Crypto Raider, you get a portion of the Raider’s gear and $AURUM tokens. Like Raiders, MOBS can also be purchased from the OpenSea marketplace.
The Crypto Raiders Token
The Crypto Raiders NFT game has two tokens: RAIDER and AURUM. The RAIDER token represents the overall economy of the platform. Token holders receive a share of all revenue generated through in-game purchases and activities.
